Focused on the development of the National Language Policy in Curaçao, IndigoBlue Consult conducted quantitative research for Dijkhoff Learning Unlimited among schools and companies in Curaçao.
Curaçao has 3 official languages, Papiamentu, Dutch and English. Over the years, there has been much discussion about which language is used as the language of instruction in local education. In order to be able to make a well-considered choice, linguist Marta Dijkhoff of Dijkhoff Learning Unlimited was asked to prepare a language policy plan. An inventory of the current situation, wishes and needs of both the educational field and the business community formed part of this approach. IndigoBlue Consult has been asked to set up the quantitative study, in the form of a survey among companies and a quick scan among schools.
