From September to December 2023, IndigoBlue conducted fieldwork on behalf of Ecovision (main contractor) and Selikor NV as part of the Waste Generation Analysis (WGA). This project, funded by EU grants, involved monitoring waste streams over a period of one month. In total, over 6000 vehicles and their waste loads were registered and assessed based on origin, bulkiness, and classified by waste category. This approach allowed for the collection of detailed data on the volume, composition, and characteristics of waste streams in Curaçao. This data enables the development of circular and resilient solid waste management strategies.
